Would you like to join Mountain Meanders?
Only members of U3A may join Mountain Meanders. Before we can accept you as a new member of the group, we need to know something about your age, general level of fitness, hiking experience on the mountains and your state of health. This is for safety reasons. We also prefer to have members who are looking for a regular place on our walks. We are unable to guarantee the time any of our hikes finish, so we suggest that if you have any appointments on the Friday, you do not hike on that day.
Other than a couple of hikes each year where we walk with our dogs, we do not allow dogs on our walks.
We do welcome visitors on our hikes, as long as they can satisfy the leader that they are sufficiently fit to complete the hike.
There is an annual charge of R100 for members. U3A visitors pay R10 per hike and non-U3A members pay R20.
