Eleven alums and one guest gathered on Saturday morning, November 1, 2025, at Connecticut Foodshare in Wallingford to help fight hunger across the state. Our team spent the morning packing pallets of bread into boxes destined for more than 100 mobile food banks throughout Connecticut this week.
According to the staff, we were so fast they could barely keep up with us — and honestly, it felt that way! Everyone worked hard, stayed cheerful, and kept asking for more bread and more boxes. Thank you to everyone who volunteered and made such a meaningful impact!

Plans are already under way to organize club traditions like Mountain Day ice cream, the Mary Lyon’s Birthday Tea and the Mary Lyon Dinner, and the Wellesley Club will host the Three College Luncheon in the spring. This year the Common Read discussion in the fall will be in person rather than on Zoom; we’ll discuss The Parable of the Sower by Octavia Butler at a weekend brunch hosted by Margaret Harper. Please watch your email for news about these events.
We hope you’ll join or rejoin the club in 2025-26! See the Membership page for more information.
