Motor State Log for DBS is designed to help users replace a paper Parkinson’s DBS motor diary with a digital one.
Information Collection
Motor State Log for DBS does not require an account and does not collect personal information for its own use.
Information entered into the app, such as:
- motor state entries
- medication entries
- DBS event entries
- notes
- optional patient or care partner labels
is stored locally on the user’s device for app functionality.
How Information Is Used
The information entered into the app is used only to:
- let the user review diary entries
- generate PDF exports
- support optional Apple Watch companion entry
- help the user share diary information with their clinic if they choose
Data Sharing
Motor State Log for DBS does not sell user data.
The app does not share diary information with the developer or third parties unless the user chooses to export or share it.
Data Storage
Diary data is stored locally on the user’s device.
If the user exports or shares a PDF, that exported file is handled by the sharing or storage option the user chooses.
Apple Watch
If the Apple Watch companion is used, diary entries may be sent from the watch to the paired iPhone so they can be stored in the iPhone app.
