I am installing a JD kit and it still has backfiring and a bog in the bottom. I wanted to move the clip up (towards the flat end) and see if this helps. Will this make it run leaner or richer.. as I suspect. Thanks for help.

I'm not sure what kind of bike that your working on but the backfire is probably from a lean condition and the bog may be from a rich condition. If you lower the clip and the backfire goes away but the bog is still there leave the needle where its at. Then shorten up the squirt time of the accellerator pump, that should take care of the bog.
