Privacy Policy - MotoLab Drag Race
Last updated: 2026-06-30
MotoLab Drag Race is a motorcycle-oriented acceleration test app. It uses device GPS and motion sensors to measure runs, show local statistics and keep a local history on the device.
This policy is written in clear language so it can be published as the public privacy policy for the app.
1. Who We Are
MotoLab Drag Race is provided by MotoLab.
Contact: motolabadmin@gmail.com
2. Data the App Uses
MotoLab Drag Race may use the following data while the app is running:
- Precise location from GPS, used during acceleration tests to estimate speed, distance, GPS accuracy and route samples.
- Approximate location, as supported by the Android location system.
- Device motion sensor data from the accelerometer and gyroscope, used to help detect launch/movement and calculate G-force related values.
- Run data generated by the app, such as target distance, elapsed time, distance, speed, G-force, GPS quality, timeline samples and split data.
- Local app preferences, such as language and units.
- Local safety disclaimer acknowledgement.
3. GPS and Sensor Use
GPS is used to calculate speed, distance and GPS accuracy during test recording.
Motion sensors are used to detect movement and support acceleration-related metrics.
MotoLab Drag Race does not use GPS or motion sensor data to identify the user, track the user for advertising, or build a profile.
4. Local Storage
Run history, active run recovery data, app settings and disclaimer acknowledgement are saved locally on the device using app storage.
The app currently stores:
- Completed run history.
- Temporary active run snapshots, used to recover or handle interrupted runs.
- Language setting.
- Units setting.
- Safety disclaimer acknowledgement.
5. Data Leaving the Device
MotoLab Drag Race does not automatically send run data, GPS data, sensor data, history or settings to any server or cloud backend.
The current public FREE version does not include user accounts, user login, cloud synchronization, or automatic transmission of user data.
Run results remain stored locally on the user's device. If the user chooses to use the built-in Share feature, the selected result image is shared only through Android system sharing, under the user's explicit control.
MotoLab does not automatically transmit user data to MotoLab servers or any third-party servers.
6. Accounts, Login and Payments
MotoLab Drag Race does not require:
- User account registration.
- Social sign-in.
- Payments.
- Subscriptions.
7. Sharing, Selling and Advertising
MotoLab Drag Race does not sell user data.
MotoLab Drag Race does not share user data with third parties.
MotoLab Drag Race does not include advertising SDKs, advertising tracking, analytics SDKs or third-party tracking tools in this version.
8. Android Permissions
MotoLab Drag Race requests Android permissions needed for app functionality:
- ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION: required to record precise GPS speed and distance during acceleration tests.
- ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION: supports device location access when precise location is unavailable or managed by Android settings.
- VIBRATE: used for haptic feedback during countdowns and app events.
9. Safety and Responsible Use
MotoLab Drag Race is designed for acceleration tests in private areas, tracks, events or safe dedicated spaces.
Do not use the app on public roads or in conditions that may violate traffic laws or put people, animals or property at risk.
The user is responsible for using the app safely and complying with local laws.
Displayed data is indicative and depends on GPS, sensors, device conditions and the surrounding environment. MotoLab Drag Race does not provide certified professional measurement results.
10. Children
MotoLab Drag Race is not designed to knowingly collect personal data from children.
11. Data Deletion
MotoLab Drag Race does not require user accounts and does not store personal data on MotoLab servers or any remote cloud infrastructure.
All run history, settings, preferences, disclaimer acknowledgements and app-generated data are stored locally on the user's device only.
Users may delete their data at any time by:
Using any deletion features available within the app.
Clearing the app storage from Android device settings.
Uninstalling the application.
Because MotoLab Drag Race does not maintain user accounts and does not store personal data on remote servers, there is no separate server-side deletion request process.
