Qasr Al Hosn Abu Dhabi Cultural Site to Open in December

History of Qasr Al Hosn

Qasr Al Hasn is a royal fortification preserved since last two centuries in the capital city of UAE, comprised of two parts; the inner fort and the outer palace. The inner fort is the part dates back in the 17th century while the palace belongs to 1940s construction of that time’s ruler. A 200 years ago, this was a ruling house of the region where government decisions and councils were held to take the intuitive for the defence of the state. This black and white building is now transformed into a colourful museum going to open its doors publically in this December 2018. It traces the historical developmental story of Abu Dhabi from fishing to modern metropolis. This revamped landmark is the oldest and dynamic heritage preservation in Abu Dhabi.

When it is going to be open and timings?

During the week, when it is going to be open the site extended opening hours could be from 10 am to 10 pm due to a newly crowded place from Sunday to Thursday, and 11 pm on Friday and Saturday. Later, during normal routine timing will be 9 am to 7 pm from Saturday to Thursday, and from 5 pm to 10 pm on Fridays. The entry fee for the museum’s exhibition costs Dhs30, either surrounding is free to view a general look. Just choose a day with car lease from any car rental riders and join the Qasr Al Hosn for sightseeing.

A royal museum to be

Free tours with winning entry car for two months, workshops and free musical performance will be seen during the free week, to assist to bring the site’s past to life. At the house of the craftsman, you are going to find out local artist going to present you with workshops with a demo of handmade traditional Emirati Crafts such as Tali embroidery with mirror work on dresses and Al Sadu knitting from Saturday to Thursday. The Cultural Foundation; Center of Art

The Cultural Foundation will be offering a milestone displays titled Artists and The cultural Foundation: You can see the Arabian traditional performances with Tambourine (Dafli) beats of ancient times. It feels cool to listen with belly dancers with covered faces. You can check out from 9 am to 8 pm Saturday to Thursday and 2 pm to 10 pm on Friday.
