Privacy Policy for Motion Cue
Effective Date: March 2026
Motion Cue ("the App") is a utility application. This Privacy Policy outlines our data usage and privacy practices to comply with Google Play's Sensitive Permission requirements.
1. Zero Data Collection
We collect absolutely zero personal data. The App does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information, location data, usage data, or analytics. It operates entirely locally on your device and does not even request the INTERNET permission in its manifest.
2. Sensitive Permissions Explained
The App requires two specific Android system permissions to function, which act strictly offline:
Draw Over Other Apps (SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW): The core purpose of the App is to display motion-synchronized dots overlaying your active applications (such as a Maps navigation app) to reduce motion sickness. This permission is used exclusively to draw these non-interactive visual dots on the screen. It does not read, record, or track the contents of your screen or the apps underneath it.
Foreground Service (FOREGROUND_SERVICE & FOREGROUND_SERVICE_SPECIAL_USE): The App runs a continuous background service to monitor your phone's physical hardware (Linear Acceleration Sensors) while you are actively driving. This ensures the overlay dots instantly react to vehicle physics even if you push the application settings window to the background.
3. Third-Party Services
Given the offline, zero-data nature of the application, the App does not utilize any third-party ad networks, trackers, or crash reporting services.
