Using furnishing samples and upholstery salvage to save and enhance existing materials so that they may be enjoyed and celebrated as treasured family keepsakes!
Throughout the week Morag will demonstrate “Bringing new life to an old favourite”
Using applique, textile printing, and embellishments to upcycle something too good to throw away. Possibly a jacket or a tablecloth that has been unworn and neglected.
If you have a favourite garment or tablecloth you might like to work with, please bring it along to the Iona gallery and we can consider various creative solutions.
Stitched and cut away layers of fabric revealing rich colourful combinations.
