If you want a secure, low-profile solution for carrying kayaks and ladders on a mid-size SUV with existing side rails, choose MOSTPLUS Roof Rack Cross; if you need massive vertical clearance and the ability to haul lumber or tall gear in an open truck bed without blocking your rear window, choose VORTEXTOVE Truck Rack.
• The trade-off is its specific fitment, as it is engineered exclusively for 2018–2021 Chevrolet Traverse models with factory rails. This pick is ideal for RV owners who need to transport canoes or luggage on their SUV roof while maintaining a sleek, aerodynamic profile.
• The compromise is its sheer physical bulk and height, which requires a truck bed rather than a vehicle roof. This option suits those who prioritize raw hauling power and versatility over aerodynamics, specifically targeting pickup owners needing to keep their bed floor clear.
The MOSTPLUS Roof Rack Cross is built for a very specific environment: the roof of a 2018 through 2021 Chevrolet Traverse equipped with original equipment manufacturer (OEM) side rails. If you own this vehicle, this rack transforms your roof into a functional cargo platform without requiring any permanent modifications to your car. The design relies on a heavy-duty clamping mechanism that ensures the crossbars are fastened tightly to the existing rails. This means you get a rigid, stable platform that won't wobble or shift during transit, yet you avoid the mess and risk of drilling holes into your vehicle's bodywork.
The material choice here is significant. By utilizing high-strength marine-grade aluminum alloy, the manufacturer has created a structure that balances durability with weight management. For RV owners who often carry extra gear that doesn't fit inside the cabin, this provides a reliable way to expand your storage footprint without altering the vehicle's center of gravity too drastically. The black finish also helps it blend seamlessly with the vehicle's aesthetics.
However, this product is not a universal solution. If you drive a Ford F-150, a Toyota Tacoma, or an older Chevrolet model outside the specified years, this rack will not work for you. The compatibility is strictly limited to the specific rail configuration found on the Traverse models mentioned. Furthermore, while the assembly is designed to be quick, taking only minutes with all necessary hardware included, it still requires access to the roof of the vehicle. It is best suited for travelers who value a clean look and secure attachment points over maximum volume capacity.

The VORTEXTOVE Truck Rack is designed for the ultimate utility user who needs to maximize the potential of a pickup truck bed. Unlike roof racks that sit above the vehicle, this unit lives in the bed, keeping your cargo elevated and out of the way of the truck bed floor. Its standout feature is the incredible adjustability. The width extends from 19 inches to 34 inches, and the height can be set anywhere between 38.6 inches and 43.6 inches. This flexibility allows it to fit a vast array of trucks, including popular models like the Ford F-Series, Chevrolet Silverado, and Dodge Ram, regardless of whether you have a short or long bed.
When you need to haul something massive, this rack delivers. The construction uses outstanding alloy steel, ensuring the frame remains sturdy under stress. To prevent damage to your truck's paint or liner, the feet feature polyester pads that enhance stability and grip. Additionally, the inclusion of tie-down anchors and extended stops gives you concrete points to secure bulky items, preventing them from sliding or falling during acceleration or braking. The powder-coated black finish and end caps that seal the tubes against water and debris ensure the rack resists rust and corrosion, promising longevity even in harsh weather conditions.
This rack is perfect for the DIYer, the contractor, or the weekend adventurer who carries irregularly shaped gear. Because it keeps the truck bed wide open, you can still store smaller items underneath the rack if needed, though the primary benefit is lifting everything off the bed floor. However, the trade-off is size. A rack that stands nearly four feet tall can make it difficult to enter certain low-clearance parking garages or tree-lined driveways. It also changes the visual profile of your truck significantly. If you are an RV owner looking to tow a trailer behind your truck but need to carry extra gear on the truck itself, this is a powerful tool. But if you prefer a lower center of gravity or need to fit your vehicle in tight spaces frequently, the bulk of this rack might be a dealbreaker. It is built for those who prioritize function and capacity over sleek integration.

I would buy the VORTEXTOVE because the ability to customize the width and height makes it a true all-in-one solution for everything from lumber to kayaks, and the steel construction feels built to last for years. However, if you are specifically an RV owner with a 2018–2021 Chevrolet Traverse, the MOSTPLUS Roof Rack Cross is the only logical path since it integrates perfectly with your vehicle's existing rails without any modification. Ultimately, the decision comes down to your vehicle type: if you have a truck, go with the VORTEXTOVE for its sheer power; if you have that specific Traverse, the MOSTPLUS is the precise tool you need.
It will not fit other trucks or SUVs.
The truck rack offers significantly higher capacity for heavy loads.
Neither rack requires drilling. The MOSTPLUS uses a heavy-duty clamping design to attach to existing side rails, and the VORTEXTOVE features a quick bolt mounting system that does not cause damage to the truck bed.
Both products use protective finishes; the MOSTPLUS utilizes marine-grade aluminum alloy, while the VORTEXTOVE is constructed from alloy steel with a powder-coated black finish and end caps designed to keep water and debris out of the tubes.
