This page contains the Terms and Conditions of working with MFS Arts, as well as my policies regarding Delivery, as well as my Privacy and Data Protection policies. Be sure to read it thoroughly, as you will agree to these by working with me! It's also organised as an FAQ, so if there any specific questions, do look them up here.
If there are changes to be made here, I will let all customers know.
An email address! This is one way of communication, but it is also important for sending the invoice to you when the work is completed.
A valid payment option in your name: I am working to expand payment options, but I currently have the following;
A valid credit/debit card in your name, which should have the ability to do currency conversions, as well as international transfers. (Be sure to check with your bank on this!)
Google Pay and Apple Pay are also valid options.
A way of communication. Currently my three options are email, Twitter DM, and Discord Messages. Be sure to let me know which method you'd like to chat with beforehand.
While there are more details to be shown soon, I can give a quick summary here of the different drawing types I offer:
[SKT] A black and white sketch work: USD60
[LNS] A clean solid line-art: USD75
[CLR_FLATS] Full-colour filled in with flat colours: USD80
[CLR_SHD] Full-colour art filled in with flat colours, shading and highlights: USD90
[CLR+] Full-colour art with added shading and highlight details: USD105
Notes:
This is the pricing for a single main subject, like a character, or design, without any background details
All pricing is in USD (US Dollars)
It was summarised a bit on the front page, but I'll be glad to provide more details here:
Scoping: An additional initial step, as I often open up for any custom artwork requests via my socials, and this site. I scope any requests you or others would give. Of course, I can't do everyone's, and have my own limitations on what I do generally each week.
Communication: Once I establish communication with you, I share the details, such as pricing, policies and so on (basically everything in this site) beforehand. We choose and agree on a way to communicate. This is officially where we establish a contract, so I'm officially working for you for this artwork.
Consultation: Now to get into the meat of things! You provide me details on what kind of artwork you'd like. Once there is a sufficient amount of information gathered, the work can begin proper!
Progress: Depending on the type of drawing offered, I return to you regularly with progress. Say for example you ask a [CLR_FLATS] drawing, I would return to you regularly, with each part showing more progress, from sketch, to line-art, and finally the color drawing with flat colors! I verify with you every step of the way, this way, in case you'd like to see something changed, removed and so on, you can let me know so there won't be a need to go backwards in the process.
Payment: Upon completion, I deliver both the finished work (see "Getting the work to you"), as well as the invoice to the email you provided. Inside there would be a link or method to pay for the invoice. If it doesn't arrive there, I can still provide the payment link to help. As a note, the due date is always on the date the invoice is sent.
Complete: And with that, the contract is complete! The work is paid and the artwork is yours to keep!
While MFS Arts is primarily a character-based and design thing, there are certain things to know:
No hateful or malicious content, or those intended to cause harm.
No content harmful or malicious to minors.
I do not accept requests for works featuring real-life figures.
Not to worry, as all information you provide are kept safely and securely in the following ways;
Information relating to the custom work, such as text details, image references and the like are kept locally by myself onsite at my place of business.
Information relating to your payments, such as name, email address and card details/or other payment methods are kept offsite in the payment services I utilise to send invoices and payment links. They kept securely on their online services, and only viewable by myself.
Lastly, all of the information will not be shared with any other parties, to ensure your privacy as well, with the exception listed below.
If any information is legally required to share (such as clarification, or even investigations into fraud), only information relating to payments will be shared
Absolutely, there are options for that:
You can ask for this privately, as in a work personally made just for you, not to be posted or shared.
You can ask for your name (like, real name, or username and so on) to be omitted when I share the completed work on my socials.
You can't rush art! ...But, if you really want to know, it all depends on what you ask for. Here's some examples of time windows for the drawing tiers:
[SKETCH and LINE-ART]: About 1 day
[FLAT COLOURS]: About 2 days
[FLAT SHADING]: About 3 days
[FULL WITH EXTRA SHADING]: About 4 days
Bear in mind, these times of course will change depending on personal circumstances as well as how complex your request is, and it is also the general time frame from when I start.
However, I understand that there are sometimes deadlines, like say, if you wanted this as a gift for someone, or if you need it for a certain event, and you wanted it done on time. Let me know beforehand if you need this done by a certain date.
As mentioned previously, the invoice is only due when the finished work is confirmed to be completed by you, and the files ready to deliver.
All finished works are digital-only and delivered online. MFS Arts does not have any printed artwork services as of now.
When the work is finished, you will receive lossless PNG file/s of the completed works. If you also wish for the working files used to make it (e.g, Photoshop uses PSD for working files), please let me know beforehand. Given the large size of working files, it will be shared via a link instead.
There are two ways I deliver the finished work:
As an attachment in the email.
A link through external file sharing services (like for example Google Drive). These will be deleted after the work is done, to ensure privacy and safety, I'll let you know beforehand - and can share it again in case you lost it.
That's alright! While all invoices are generally due immediately, if something does happen that may hinder your ability to pay, please let me know as soon as possible. However, if not, if an invoice goes unpaid in 4 weeks without reason, I will temporarily stop accepting more requests for more until it is paid - this is because MFS Arts does not currently provide credit or payment plans at this time.
As long as you give good reason for it - the artwork can even be temporarily paused or cancelled outright (This is the reason I mainly accept payment upon completion). As before, do let me know as soon as possible if something does happen.
There's a few things you can do with the finished work:
You're free to share the finished work and display it in your own places and such (like on social media, or your site and so on) - but I do ask that you give me credit. You may credit as "MFS Arts", can link to this website, or social media.
If, say, you ask and pay for a sketch or line-art to later work on by yourself, go for it! I do appreciate customers also growing as artists themselves. As always, credit me for the original artwork.
However, there are some things which under any circumstance I will not permit:
I do not consent for the artwork to be resold, such as auctioning it, or using it to make other goods (I've seen many instances where artists see their artwork stolen and put on merchandise like shirts!).
I do not consent for any MFS Arts work, whether by myself, or asked by a customer, to be used for any machine-learning system (that is, software that creates any work automatically using existing artwork to 'learn from'. You may have heard of this as "AI", but that's a real misnomer which I won't get into).
If I find that you yourself have done these afterwards, disciplinary measures will be taken.
