Sept. 2024:

Dr. Tazarv received the PCI 2024 Charles C. Zollman best paper Award, Nashville, TN, Sept. 25, 2024.

Feb. 2024:

Tazarv will receive $1.5m from USDOT to perform research on preserving transportation infrastructure (Link).

A five-year, $1.5 million grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation will help faculty members in South Dakota State University's Jerome J. Lohr College of Engineering work toward preserving the existing infrastructure in South Dakota, a priority for the USDOT.

Aug. 2023:

SDSU to improve electrical grids in rural communities (Link).

Through a four-year, $750,000 grant from the National Science Foundation, South Dakota State University will partner with universities from the far-corners of the United States to improve electrical grids with an emphasis on underserved, rural communities.

April 2023:

Congressman Johnson and President Dunn visited SDSU Lohr Structures Laboratory.

May 2022:

Dr. Tazarv has received three research funding (totaling $800,000) from the Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities and a UTC center to develop practical computer vision tools for bridge engineering.
