Dr. Mostafa Shahen is an assistant professor at the Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology (E-JUST), where his research focuses on human resource management, organizational behavior, and experimental economics, with a particular emphasis on developing countries. His work examines individual and organizational decision-making related to sustainability, well-being, and economic development.
In addition to his academic responsibilities, Dr. Shahen serves as the Director of the Industrial Training Unit (ITU) at E-JUST, where he designs and oversees executive training programs for employees of leading corporations across Egypt.
His research employs laboratory, survey, and field experiments to investigate behavioral responses to environmental sustainability and other development challenges. He has conducted research in several developing countries, including Egypt, Bangladesh, and Nigeria, addressing topics such as sustainable behavior, well-being, and energy-related issues. Through his interdisciplinary research, Dr. Shahen aims to generate evidence-based insights that inform organizational practices and public policy in emerging economies.
