GAME DURATION
Games are 30 minutes: 2 x 13 minute halves with a 2-minute half-time break. The extra 2 minutes allow players to take and leave the field before and after their game.

REFEREES APPLY NOW FOR 2026

If you love rugby and love making money then we have a job for you - become a Summer Touch Referee. No experience necessary, just good manners, a good work ethic and the ability to count.

The gig — Turn up on time, dressed in your uniform, referee or BBQ.

Training — you'll need to attend the Referee Course on Sunday 20 September 2026, 2–4pm, at the Whale House, Rawson.

COMPETITION

Format — a fun, mixed, social 7-a-side touch football competition for all ages and abilities. You just need 9 mates to register a team (maximum is 11 players in a team).

Dates — Wednesday & Thursday nights, 14 October – 26 November

Venue — Rawson Oval, Cross St, Mosman

Cost — $1,125 per team, which includes registration and insurance for 9 players. Additional players can be added for $125 each, including their insurance.

Family & Friends Comp — $625 per team, including registration and insurance for 10 players: 5 adults and 5 kids.

Stay updated — like the Mosman Junior Rugby Instagram page for up-to-date information; an email will be sent to managers if time permits.

Ground status — council updates the ground status around 2pm; we'll advise shortly after via social media and email.

No make-up games — unfortunately there are no make-up games, so do your sun dances please.

Please note: the draw is currently a draft and will be finalised once regos are complete.

HOW TO REGISTER 2026

REGISTRATIONS OPEN 11AM, WEDNESDAY 19 AUGUST

Only 8 team spots are available in each time slot. First in, first served.

Summer Touch is a 7-a-side competition.

Teams register with 9 players, giving you 7 on the field + 2 reserves.

Want a bigger squad? You can add a 10th and 11th player for $125 per additional player.

Maximum 11 players per team.

STEP 1. GET YOUR TEAM SORTED

Before registrations open, choose your Team Manager and get everything ready.

Your Manager will need:

• Your team name
• The full names of all 9 players
• Your year group and preferred time slot
• Payment ready

Please have your full team confirmed before registering. Player names cannot be listed as TBC.

Year 5 and Year 7 have two time slots to choose from.

STEP 2. YOUR MANAGER REGISTERS THE WHOLE TEAM

At 11am on Wednesday 19 August, your Team Manager chooses your year group and time slot, enters the full team listand pays for the team.

TEAM REGISTRATION | $1,125
Includes 9 players.

PLAYER 10 | +$125
PLAYER 11 | +$125

Maximum 11 players per team.

Once your registration is complete and the team fee is paid, your team's spot is secured.

There are only 8 team spots in each time slot, so have your team organised before registrations open.

STEP 3. EVERY PLAYER REGISTERS

Getting the team in is the Manager's job. Then it's over to the players.

Once your team is registered and paid, we'll send your Manager the Individual Player Registration Form.

Your Manager sends the link to every player in the team and every player must complete their own registration before they can play.

This is important. It gives us the player and parent/guardian details we need and ensures every player is properly registered for the competition.

Please use exactly the same Team Name your Manager registered under so we can match you to your team.

HOW DO WE ALLOCATE SPOTS?

First in, first served.

There are only 8 team spots in each time slot.

Your team spot is secured when your Manager has:

✓ Registered the team
✓ Provided the full 9-player team list
✓ Paid the $1,125 team fee in full

Adding a 10th or 11th player is optional and costs $125 per player.

Individual players must then complete their own registration before your team spot is secure.

Once a time slot is full, additional teams will be waitlisted. If spots don't fill then a younger age group might join.

DON'T HAVE A TEAM?

Summer Touch is a team competition, so we don't accept individual registrations.

If you'd love to play but don't have a team, get in touch once team registrations close. We'll do our best to connect players with teams looking for an extra player.

We can't guarantee a spot, but we'll certainly try.
