Privacy Policy

The short version

Moshly runs entirely on your device. Your videos are yours, they stay on your phone, and we don't collect personal information. There is no account, no sign-up, no analytics and no advertising.

What we collect

Nothing. Moshly has no servers. We do not collect, store or transmit any personal data about you, and we have no way to identify individual users.

Device permissions

Camera. Used only to record video and render the effect live. Frames are processed on your device and are never uploaded anywhere. Moshly does not request microphone access and does not record audio.

Photos. Used for three things: saving a video you choose to export, importing a photo or video into a project, and taking the audio out of a video you select. Moshly cannot read or browse your existing photo library — you pick the items, and only those are shared with the app.

Files. Used only to import an audio file you choose as a soundtrack. Moshly has no access to anything else in Files.

Permissions are requested by iOS the first time they're needed, and you can revoke them at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security.

Your recordings

Clips are stored on your device while you work and are deleted when you save, discard, or start a new project. Exported videos go to your camera roll, where they are yours to manage. Nothing is ever sent to a server.

Settings

Your preferences — capture rate, effect intensity, which tips you've dismissed — are stored locally on your device using the standard iOS settings store. They never leave your phone and are removed if you delete the app.

Purchases

Subscriptions and one-time purchases are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We receive confirmation from Apple that a purchase is valid. We never see your name, email address, or payment details. Apple's handling of that transaction is governed by Apple's own privacy policy: apple.com/legal/privacy

Third parties

Moshly contains no analytics SDKs, no advertising SDKs and no tracking of any kind. It does not share data with third parties, because it does not have any data to share. Apple is the only third party involved, and only for payment processing.

Children

Moshly is not directed at children under 4 and does not knowingly collect information from them. As no information is collected from anyone, this applies universally.

Your rights

Under the GDPR and similar laws you have rights to access, correct and delete your personal data. Because Moshly collects no personal data, there is nothing for us to hold, retrieve or erase. Deleting the app removes everything it stored on your device.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, the updated version will appear here and the date at the top will change.
