I am Mosarruf Hossain. A driven Ph.D. student of Aerospace Engineering specializing in the application of sensing, estimation, and control with Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) at the University of Kansas. With a Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Kansas, my expertise spans Wind/gust/wake sensing and estimation, system identification of UAS, UAS system and flight control design, and Control Engineering.

03 Apr 2026 Presented a poster on "Sensing and Estimation of Fire-Induced Wind Field using Small UAS" in the KU GEA Research Showcase. The poster was awarded 2nd Place in the Graduate Poster Presentation Category.
15 Jan 2026 Presented our work on "Sensing and Estimation of Fire-Induced Wind Field using Small UAS" in the Atmospheric Flight Mechanics: System Identification II session in SciTech'26. Selected as one of the top three Best Student Papers by the AIAA Atmospheric Flight Mechanics Technical Committee.
25 Aug 2025 Our paper "Sensing and Estimation of Fire-Induced Wind Field using Small UAS" got selected for SciTech'26 presentation.
