Morton Lodge celebrated the 200th anniversary of the oldest Masonic monument in Texas on November 15, 2025. Several Officers of the Grand Lodge of Texas, local leaders, Masonic leaders, and visitors were in attendance as we celebrated what became the beginning of Morton Cemetery and the 200-year impact that Freemasonry has had on Fort Bend County and Richmond, TX.

Morton Lodge No. 72, Rosenberg Lodge No. 881, and Sugar Land Lodge No. 1141 hosted a Special Ladies Event. Our Special Ladies were presented with several meaningful gifts, enteretained with live music, and presented with moving speeches by Brothers of all three Lodges in Fort Bend County. Everyone also enjoyed a wonderful meal prepared by Past Master Al Davis.
With the help of Westside Assembly, Order of Rainbow Girls, Morton Lodge was proud to once again participate in the Richmond Pecan Harvest Festival, providing space for the baking contest, public restrooms, tours of our historic lodge room, and delicious food.
The Brethren of Morton Lodge were honored to present Brother Harvey Baskin with his 60-Year Service Award at his home on Tuesday, November 1, 2022. R:.W:. Ryland, District Deputy Grand Master of Masonic District No. 108, represented the Grand Lodge of Texas for the presentation.
The Grand Lodge of Texas, with the assistance of Morton Masonic Lodge No. 72, leveled the cornerstone at the Fulshear-Simonton Central Fire Station. R:.W:. H. Bart Henderson, Grand Junior Warden of the Grand Lodge of Texas, presided, assisted by several Grand Lodge officers.
