Privacy Policy for Mortgage Pilot

Mortgage Pilot is a mortgage and refinance planning app. This Privacy Policy explains how Mortgage Pilot handles your information.

1. Information the app handles

Mortgage Pilot lets you enter and manage mortgage, refinance, property, amortization, and document-import information in order to perform calculations and generate exports.

2. Local-first data handling

Mortgage Pilot is designed to store your mortgage scenarios, property information, imported document data, and generated results locally on your device.

Mortgage Pilot does not require a user account.

3. Data collection and sharing

Mortgage Pilot does not send your mortgage scenario data or imported mortgage document data to our own servers.

Mortgage Pilot does not sell your personal data.

The app may interact with third-party platform services in limited cases:

- Google Play or Apple App Store may process purchase-related information when you buy or restore Mortgage Pilot Pro.

- Your email app may process information you choose to include when you contact support.

- If you export or share a file, the selected app or service you use to open or share that file may process the file under its own privacy policy.

4. Imported files and exports

If you choose to import a supported text-based PDF, the file is processed locally on your device.

If you choose to export PDF or Excel files, those files are generated locally on your device.

5. Support requests

If you contact support by email, we receive the information you choose to send, such as your email address, message content, and any details you include about your device or app issue.

6. Data retention and deletion

Because Mortgage Pilot is a local-first app and does not require an account, your mortgage data remains on your device unless you delete it.

You can delete your data by deleting scenarios/properties inside the app, clearing app storage, or uninstalling the app.

Support emails are retained in the support mailbox for as long as reasonably necessary to respond and keep support records.

7. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect information handled by the app. Mortgage Pilot is designed to keep core mortgage data on the device rather than transmitting it to our own servers.

8. Children

Mortgage Pilot is not directed to children under 13.

9. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted at this same URL with a new effective date.
