Applications

Eligible applicants:

1. At least of junior-standing by fall (Have at least 60+ credits by end of spring/summer 2026)

2. Have at least a 3.5 GPA (if your GPA is between 3.0-3.5, but you believe you have extenuating circumstances, there is a portion of the application to address that)

3. Graduating no earlier than December 2026 (i.e., Spring 2026 and Summer 2026 graduates are not eligible)

4. Are interested in providing further service, leadership, and scholarship as a Mortar Board member in 2026-2027 (All majors are welcome!)

A complete application will include the following:

1. Candidate Information

2. Resume (upload as a .pdf)

3. Screenshot of your Spring 2026 Class Schedule

4. Personal Statement: How do you uphold the Mortar Board ideals of scholarship, leadership, and service? (max 500 words) (upload as a .pdf)

(Additional requirement if your cumulative GPA is under 3.5) Upload a .pdf (or .docx) statement about the depth and quality of your academic achievements that should be considered.

5. A complete recommendation form. You are responsible for sending this Recommendation Form to your contact to fill out (should be a faculty/staff member or a supervisor with knowledge of your academic, leadership, and/or service. It should not be a relative or fellow undergraduate).

Applications are due by March 6th, 2026 at 11:59 pm. Please have all application parts ready prior to starting this online form. Recommendations will also be due by March 6th, 2026 at 11:59 pm.
