The Morrill Middle School PTSA (Parent Teacher Student Association) is a nonprofit organization made up of parents, guardians, teachers, staff, students, and our principal who work together to make Morrill a welcoming and connected school community.

We try to meet monthly on the third thursday on of the month* to talk about community events, student activities, school spirit, and ways we can support Morrill students, families, and staff.

Everyone can contribute in their own way- whether that means volunteering your time, sharing an idea or special skill, attending a meeting, or making a donation to help support PTSA activities and student opportunities.

You don’t have to be an officer or attend every meeting to be part of the PTSA. There’s a place for everyone! 🐯💛

No!  Everyone is welcome. You do not have to be a PTSA member to attend a meeting, share an idea, or volunteer your time. We want all Morrill families, students, teachers, and staff to feel welcome and included.

Becoming an official PTSA member is completely optional. Members have voting privileges and may also receive access to California State PTA member benefits and perks.

Membership is $15 per year and is a great way to show your support for the Morrill PTSA and our students and make us Tiger Strong 🐯💛 but it is not a requirement.

Whether you become a member, volunteer when you can, attend a meeting, or simply support us when you’re able, we’re happy to have you as part of our Tiger community!

There are many ways to support the Morrill PTSA, and every contribution makes a difference! You can give your time, share your talents, attend a meeting, or make a donation—whatever works best for you and your family.

Don’t have time to volunteer? Your financial support is another important way to help. Donations help the PTSA provide activities, programs, events, and opportunities for Morrill students and families.

Whether you can give your time, your talents, or a financial contribution, we are grateful for your support.

There’s no one right way to help and you can find what works for you and join us in supporting our Morrill Tigers! 

Volunteer When You Can!! You don’t have to attend every meeting or volunteer at every event. Simply choose what works for you and your family. There’s truly no one-size-fits-all commitment when it comes to volunteering and we appreciate whatever donation, time and talents you’re able to share. Whether you can help for an hour, volunteer at an event, lend a special skill, or simply pitch in when something comes up, we appreciate you!

Every helping hand makes it easier for us to create more opportunities for our Morrill students and families. 
Every contribution counts. The more parents and families pitch in, the more we can share the workload and make it manageable for everyone and the more OUR kids and staff will benefit!

There’s a place for everyone on the Morrill PTSA, and we’re happy and feel grateful to have you!

A general meeting is the monthly PTSA meeting where parents, teacher rep, students and principal attend. An Executive Board Meeting or Board Meeting refers to an only PTSA Officers meeting.

The Executive Board is made up of PTSA Officers, students and parents who commit to completing Official PTSA work in order to operate our organization. The Board discusses the Budget for the school and how to implement activities. Without the Executive Board there is no PTSA and if there is no PTSA the funds are then frozen until an Executive Board is assembled. Each position maxes out at 2 years. A PTSA Officer does not need to complete 2 years but most often they decide to stay for 2 years. Students cannot run the position of President or Treasurer.

To be part of the Board you must either be Elected or Voted in by the PTSA. Talk to a PTSA Officer and let them know you are interested or contact morrillptsa@gmail.com to get more information.

We understand that many Morrill families are balancing siblings at different schools and activities, and we want volunteering to be as accessible as possible.

In many cases, your younger child is welcome to come with you while you volunteer. We’ll simply make sure the volunteer activity is appropriate and safe for them to be around. For activities involving heavy lifting, tools, complicated setups, or other potentially difficult builds, we may ask that younger children not participate.

We truly appreciate and honor families who want to help, and we’ll do our best to find volunteer opportunities that work for your family and your schedule.
