How We Research
We compare products from their published specs and features; the verdicts below are our independent editorial opinions.
If you want earbuds built for movement, sweat and rain with ANC tuned to cut engine and traffic drone for fishing, choose Morpheus 360 Nemesis ANC; if you need all-day over-ear comfort with far deeper noise reduction and a battery that outlasts a weekend trip, choose Picun F8.
• Morpheus 360 Nemesis ANC — biggest strength: a tiny in-ear design with IPX5 sweat and waterproofing, so it survives rain, spray and long days on the water.
• Morpheus 360 Nemesis ANC — biggest trade-off: noise reduction is rated up to 28dB, so it softens background rumble rather than erasing it.
• Picun F8 — biggest strength: Hybrid ANC rated up to -52dB with Deep, Mild and Transparency modes, plus 140 hours of playtime (60+ with ANC on).
• Picun F8 — biggest trade-off: it's a full over-ear headphone with no water-resistance rating, so it's a poor match for wet, active environments.
• Who each pick is for: Nemesis ANC for anglers, gym-goers and anyone who wants compact, weather-resistant earbuds; Picun F8 for flights, offices, study and long indoor sessions.
The Nemesis ANC is an in-ear earbud built around movement. It runs Bluetooth 5.3 with Low Energy communication, which Morpheus 360 says gives both longer battery life and a more stable signal. Each earbud is rated for over 5 hours on a single charge, and the magnetic charging case adds enough capacity for a combined 30 hours — the case holds 350 mAh and recharges in about 2 hours. There's also a fast-charge angle: a 15-minute top-up is rated for up to 5 hours of use.
The audio side is a custom-tuned 10mm graphene dynamic driver with 4 ohm impedance and 105dB sensitivity, tuned for balanced sound with strong bass. The feature I'd actually point an angler toward is the microphone design. There are four mics total — two measuring outside noise and two filtering environmental noise — and Morpheus 360 deliberately positioned them with pass-through tunnels in the external mic chamber to reduce wind noise. Combined with feed-forward ANC that targets up to 28dB of automobile traffic and airplane engine drone, that's a sensible spec sheet for someone standing in wind near water who still wants to take a call.
Buy it if you want compact earbuds you can wear under a hat or cap, touch controls for music, calls and voice assistants, and IPX5 sweat and waterproof protection for rain, gym work or sports. Skip it if you want maximum silence — 28dB is meaningful but it isn't in the same class as the hybrid system on the Picun F8, and in-ear buds won't isolate like a full over-ear seal.
The F8 Pro is a different animal: a lightweight over-ear headphone in a khaki-white finish with ultra-soft memory-foam cushions, a breathable design and a flexible headband. Picun built it for long sessions, and the comfort spec is the whole point — over-ear memory foam distributes pressure instead of pressing into your ear canal.
Noise cancelling is where it pulls ahead. Hybrid ANC is rated to reduce ambient noise by up to -52dB, and you can switch between Deep, Mild and Transparency modes depending on whether you're on a plane, a busy street, in an office, or studying at home. Sound is customizable through a companion app EQ, with deep bass, detailed mids and crisp highs, plus head-tracking technology that keeps the soundstage centered as you move. Dual ENC microphones handle calls, and multipoint Bluetooth lets you jump between phone, tablet, laptop and PC without re-pairing. There's also a 3.5mm jack and a cable in the box, so you can go wired when you want to.
Battery is the headline number: 140 hours total, and 60+ hours with ANC switched on. USB-C fast charging gets you a full recharge in roughly 1 to 2 hours.
Buy it if you spend hours in the air, at a desk or studying, and you want the deepest quiet, the longest runtime, and over-ear comfort. Skip it if you need something for sweat, rain or water spray — the ABS build has no water-resistance rating listed, so this is an indoor and dry-commute headphone.
• Best for fishing and wet, windy conditions → Morpheus 360 Nemesis ANC. IPX5 sweat and waterproof protection plus wind-noise-reducing microphone placement make it the only one of the two I'd take near water.
• Best for battery life → Picun F8. 140 hours total and 60+ with ANC active beats the Nemesis ANC's 30 combined hours.
• Best for noise cancelling → Picun F8. Hybrid ANC rated up to -52dB across three modes versus up to 28dB feed-forward ANC.
• Best for compact, low-profile wear → Morpheus 360 Nemesis ANC. AirPod-style in-ears sit flush and work under a cap or hood.
• Best for long listening comfort → Picun F8. Memory-foam over-ear cushions and a lightweight headband are built for marathon sessions.
• Best for calls in wind → Morpheus 360 Nemesis ANC. Four microphones with purpose-positioned wind reduction and pass-through tunnels.
• Best for switching between devices → Picun F8. Multipoint Bluetooth plus a 3.5mm wired option.
• Best for gym and sports → Morpheus 360 Nemesis ANC. Touch controls and IPX5 sealing versus an over-ear with no water rating.
For fishing — and honestly for any trip where weather, spray and movement are part of the plan — I'd buy the Morpheus 360 Nemesis ANC. The IPX5 rating, the wind-tuned four-mic array, the compact in-ear fit and the 30-hour combined runtime all line up with what an angler actually needs, and the 15-minute quick charge is a genuinely useful detail. In my opinion the Picun F8 wins on raw noise cancelling and battery, and if your listening happens on planes, in offices or at a desk, that's the one I'd recommend instead. Two different jobs, two different answers — pick the one that matches where you'll actually wear them.
ANC stands for Active Noise Cancellation: the headphone uses microphones to sample outside sound and then generates opposing signal to reduce it. Both models here do it, but differently — the Morpheus 360 Nemesis ANC uses feed-forward ANC rated up to 28dB, while the Picun F8 uses Hybrid ANC rated up to -52dB with Deep, Mild and Transparency modes.
It means the headset actively cancels ambient noise rather than just physically blocking it with padding or an ear seal. On the Nemesis ANC, that's aimed at steady low-frequency sounds like traffic and airplane engines, and its four microphones also handle voice pickup. The Picun F8 adds switchable modes so you can dial the effect up or let outside sound back in.
It's most useful against constant background noise — engines, road rumble, air conditioning, office chatter. That's why the Picun F8's up-to -52dB hybrid system suits flights and open offices, while the Nemesis ANC's 28dB reduction is better read as taking the edge off rather than creating silence. If you want to hear announcements or traffic, the F8's Transparency mode covers that.
In my opinion the Morpheus 360 Nemesis ANC fits fishing better, because IPX5 sweat and waterproof protection and its wind-noise-reducing microphone design matter more on the water than maximum decibels of cancellation. If you're comparing it against bone conduction headphones for fishing or sports earbuds for fishing, the key difference is that this model seals in your ear and cancels noise, which bone conduction deliberately does not do. The Picun F8 is the stronger ANC headphone overall, but I wouldn't expose an over-ear with no water rating to rain and spray.
