Morien Memories is a week-long homecoming celebration that takes place every five years in the coastal village of Port Morien, Nova Scotia. What began in 1985 as a small reunion for former residents has grown into a full community festival that honours the past while celebrating the present.
Rooted in a deep pride of place, Morien Memories brings together current and former Morienites from across the globe. Events range from parades, concerts, and fireworks to historical exhibits, nature walks, and kitchen parties, showcasing the talents, stories, and spirit of this close-knit community.
From its beginnings in a single idea shared by community members, to a full calendar of activities supported by countless volunteers, Morien Memories is more than just a festival. It’s a heartfelt tradition, celebrating the generations who have called Port Morien home.
