Stephen Lowe (He/They) is a pastor, educator, and queer theologian, working in the liminal space between practical and academic theology. Their areas of academic interests include the intersections of queer theology and Anabaptist theology, queer biblical hermeneutics, Christian formation as a means of sexual and spiritual liberation, and Christian Ecojustice. He also holds a deep passion for justice work in education and agriculture. They hold a Bachelor of Arts in Music and Education from Goshen College ('21), and a Master of Divinity in History, Theology, and Ethics from Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary ('25). In their free time, Stephen enjoys singing, gardening, and playing video games. They currently live in Morgantown, WV on the land of the land of the Massawomek, Osage, and Shawandasse Tula, but his familial and spiritual roots are planted in the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia in the traditional lands of the Monahoac Tribe and Monacan Indian Nation.
