I have recently started reading Fantasy novels. My friend highly recommended the Sorcerer's Ring series by Morgan Rice. I looked it up online. Nearly all the reviews were glowing 5 star reviews and best of all the 1st book in the series Quest of Heroes was available for free online (AFAIK there are 17 books in total)

There are a lot of bad books in this world and this is just one of them and hardly deserves a reddit post for that reason alone. What I can't understand however is how this book/series/author has so many glowing reviews. How is it so highly rated? Who is reading and liking it? Are these even real reviews?
