The word “special” creates various images or thoughts for us all. Most of us want that feeling of being someone special, of having a quality about us that stands out. Yet for some, being special isn’t a choice; those who live with Special Needs fight the stigma of the word every day. Holding my daughter whenever the tears of being different, of being special, filled her beautiful eyes, I would try to create a new meaning for her. “You are so much more than special” is what I wanted her to believe.

She has grown into a young woman who realizes that each person has unique and amazing qualities that others just may not see right away. She decided that everyone should be able to feel “More Than Special”; this is why we decided to take our love of jewelry and bright, fun colors and teach ourselves how to craft pieces to share with others. Thus our little company began. My daughter helps design each piece and is working hard to make her own pieces from start to finish..
