Your Rolfing® Structural Integration Sessions
what to expect
what to expect
These are words I've heard clients use to describe the way their bodies feel after our sessions. They weren't sure what to expect before we started. They've tried all of the conventional methods. Maybe they heard Rolfing can be painful. Maybe they think their aches and pains are beyond relief. Maybe their posture is "too far gone" after years of slouching behind a desk.
But during the session, we found ease from stiffness caused by restrictions in connective tissue (fascia) within and surrounding muscles. We alleviated tension and patterns that have accumulated over a lifetime. When there were moments of slight discomfort, we took a gentle approach and incorporated breathwork. This let us work with the nervous system to allow changes to happen with ease, not force.
This gives a body the freedom to move with:
LESS EFFORT
MORE COORDINATION
GREATER EFFICIENCY
In your first Rolfing session, we take time to discuss your unique health history and come up with a plan of action. You'll get an hour of table time, with hands-on work and movement education to support the changes we make.
Dr. Rolf created the Rolfing Ten-Series®—a set of ten sessions that work step by step to improve the body’s alignment and structure.
When you commit to 10 sessions, we spend each hour on a different area of your body, with different goals and positions. This allows us to approach your body from all angles, and take our time to be precise and thorough. This holistic approach builds on itself and progresses, which allows us to make deep structural changes.
