Ivan Skawronski completed his Bachelor of Music in 2017, having been awarded The John Robert Mitchell Violin Prize for the most outstanding senior violin student at the Elder Conservatorium. He also has a Bachelor of Science (Theoretical Physics and Mathematical Sciences).
Ivan performs regularly as part of the Adelaide Concert Orchestra, and has shared the stage with such names as Hans, Dami Im, Hugh Sheridan, and Sam Moran. He has performed several times as a soloist with the Limestone Coast Symphony Orchestra, and in 2026 became concertmaster of the Mitcham Orchestra.
In addition to playing and teaching violin, Ivan also composes; his most celebrated composition to date is the epic Adventure to the Limestone Caves, commissioned by the Naracoorte-Lucindale Council and scored for didgeridoo, marimba, flute, clarinet, cello and violin.
A freelance violinist based in Adelaide since 2022, Perrin performs classical, folk, and contemporary music. Recent professional engagements include Southern Cross Symphony, weddings and events with string quartets and other ensembles, and this concert series of violin duets with Ivan.
He enjoys playing with community orchestras including Norwood, Unley, Burnside, Mitcham, and Adelaide Summer Orchestra, and has previously performed with the SBS Youth Orchestra and the Macquarie Philharmonia. He studied music production and composition at AIM. Collaborators include Kodachrome, The Wishing Well, Paul and the Road, Taras, and Murmurations with Paul Macleod.
He regularly performs at wineries and bars on guitar and voice. An expressive and versatile player, Perrin maintains a careful balance between “emerging artist” and “established obscurity.”
