• Juliana gave a talk entiteld “Tuning the electronic and magnetic properties of monolayer phosphorene by doping and strain”, at the 20th International Conference on Defects in Insulating Materials (ICDIM2020), online (November 2020).

• Juliana Morbec has been awarded Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (HEA), as part of her Masters in Higher Education Practice (MA HEP) (November 2020). 

• Our project “Organic /2D van der Waals heterostructures for photovoltaic applications” has successfully secured 1,010,000 CPUhs on the EPSRC Tier-2 Cirrus Supercomputer UK (November 2020).

• We are excited to welcome Edward Black as a PhD student in our group at Keele University (September 2020)

• Juliana has joined the Editorial Board (Nanostructures and Nanoelectronics section) of the Journal of Physics: Condensed Matter (January 2020).

• Our group has been awarded 1,100,000 Corehs on the EPSRC Tier-2 Cirrus Service to conduct studies on the functionalization of 2D materials with organic molecules (January 2020).
