Moran Koren
Assistant Professor (lecturer)
Department of Industrial Engineering and Management at Ben Gurion University of the Negev
I am a game theorist with vast teaching and research experience. My main interest is economic analysis using mathematics; statistics; and programming.
After several years in the industry as a Data Scientist, I've returned to Academia. I've completed a P.h.D in the field of Game Theory under the guidance of Prof. Rann Smorodinsky and Prof. Itai Arieli in 2019. Prior to my current position, I visited the Management Science and Engineering department at Stanford University as a Fulbright scholar and was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Lab of Economic Design at the Center of Mathematical Sciences and Applications of Harvard University. Additoinally, I was fortunate enoungh to win the Shamir Scholarship for returning scientist and join the School of Mathematical Sciences at Tel Aviv University as a postdoctoral research fellow.
My current research topic is the Analysis and Design of Allocation Systems Under Uncertainty.
In my research, I model markets and decisions using advanced mathematical tools, examine these models in both static and stochastic settings in an attempt to draw conclusions on real-world situations.
