The central processing units (CPUs) of embedded systems
Responsible for executing program instructions and controlling system operations.
the CPU of the embedded system, responsible to instruct and control the system
control the system like heat, lighting & etc.
like a switch to dim the light
air-con has a controller to control temp.
to detect environmental inputs ( temperature, humidity, motion)
sensor can detects, actuator perform action and also detect environmental inputs
Air conditional will be able to detect temperature when we switch the mode to auto .
- AI Concept, Yeelighting?
RAM & ROM
Industrial security camera is saved in system but not in the security camera itself
EXP: dash cam, security cam
There are built-in memory & not built-in memory
real-time & off-line data
storing data**
enable data and exchange between embedded system and external devices
Example: Phone screen act as a communication interface, to show and control the temperature of a air conditional ( a communication interface)
Communication Interfaces=user interface
Real-time operation
microcontrollers and sensors contribute to real-time data acquisition and system responsiveness.
Example: Traffic light (sensor)
(when doing in side the box the traffic light will change by sensing the car)
Constrained resources
Involve more in memory/CPU
Conduct surveys
Primary/secondary resources
identify local needs and challenge
Brainstorm solutions
Identify issue and problems
brainstorm solution
research and generate solution(survey/getting data)
Prototyping and simulations
Visualize
Insert all information
Collaboration
Refine and operate
collaborating with others
This week, our focus is on Microcontrollers, Communication Interfaces, and Memory in class. During today's session, I acquired new knowledge, such as understanding what a microcontroller is and discerning the differences between RAM and ROM. Additionally, I developed insights into communication interfaces and embedded systems. While these topics were enjoyable, I find the most useful aspect to be the process of generating ideas and illustrating embedded systems, which I believe adds a layer of enjoyment to the learning experience.
