Accessing the Photo Cage, Lighting Studio, & Darkroom

The lighting studio (aka shooting studio) is accessible whenever the Photo Cage is open and can be reserved for up to 4 hours at a time. Reservations are made in person in the Photo Cage on a first come, first served basis. You can also fill out this survey to reserve the lighting studio and either Amanda or a Photo Cage student monitor will get back to you about scheduling.
The darkroom is open & available for use ONLY during scheduled open Photo Cage hours. Users will be given a warning before it closes for the day. No reservations necessary.

Submit photos to the Photo Cage's "Studio Lighting Reference" binder!
Complete the survey here :) These submissions will be used to create a binder of examples of studio lighting for reference and inspiration. Any photo that was created by you, during your time at Moore, using lights from the Photo Cage or Lighting Studio, is welcome! The more details you can provide about the images, the more helpful it will be for future students. (Screenshots from videos also welcome!) Feel free to submit multiple times for differently-lit projects! This binder will live in the Photo Cage.
Checkout System
Our online checkout system is called Cheqroom! Current students, faculty, and select staff are permitted to check out equipment after signing a waiver (in the Photo Cage or linked below).
To check out items, you'll need to be added as a user in Cheqroom; users can browse equipment available or reserve items for use on a future date, and will check out their items in the Photo Cage. Come by the Photo Cage during open hours to sign the waiver and get added to Cheqroom.

The Lighting Studio (room 607) has equipment that is ready for you to use during your studio reservation. This list shows everything that's available for use- some items can be checked-out for use outside the studio, and some always live there.
