Meet Monica
Monica Robles is an editorial stylist born and raised in Jalisco, Mexico. At the age of 12, she left her country of origin and moved to the United States. She is passionate about advocating for sustainable and ethical practices as well as embracing the richness of cultural diversity.
Her first project, Heavenly Apparels, is based on encouraging the upcycling of unwanted garments and expressing oneself through the art of fashion. In this project, Monica repurposed materials donated by locals such as; denim, tablecloths, curtains, and bedsheets. Later, she uploaded tutorials where she taught people how to upcycle their garments.
Monica currently interns at Stage Left Children's Theater and Nicholas Raefski. She is also the Fashion Director at Primadonna Magazine where she directs and styles creative editorial photoshoots along with her much talented team!
Monica now resides in New York, where she pursues an AAS Fashion Business Management degree at the Fashion Institute of Technology.
