BIOMariana Lima (Portugal, 2002) is a multimedia artist with a strong interest in cinema, animation, and post-production.She has a passion for cinema, developed through a long-standing interest in film making and video creation. Naturally curious, she is continuously driven to refine her skills and evolve her work, believing that learning extends far beyond formal education. Her enthusiasm lies particularly in anything that involves imaging, where she explores storytelling through visual form.Mariana holds a degree in Multimedia, where she developed her final project, the 2D animated short film “home.”(2023), in which she took on multiple roles, including writer, director, animator, and editor.She began her professional path as a primary school arts teacher, an experience that strengthened her interest in communication and knowledge sharing.During this time, she was introduced to Quimera, an independent production company.Although the initial project, an educational animated series focused on children’s use of the internet and modern technologies, was not realized, the team remained active and collaborated on several film projects, including “Quando o Comboio Não Passa” by Nuno Mina, “Ainda Não” by Alexandra Lopes, and “Straniere” by Gill Ann.
