Our program is designed to expand the reach of community midwifery to working class families, especially those receiving medicaid, and who plan to deliver in the hospital. We offer compassionate and individualized prenatal and postpartum care in our Downtown Salt Lake City Clinic space on a sliding scale payment structure. Our patients in this program receive quality care at a fraction of the regular cost, anywhere from 25-75% of the regular price depending on their financial needs. This program includes approx 12 45 minute prenatal visits, with all necessary lab work, ultrasounds and referrals as needed, coordination of delivery at the hospital of the patient's choosing, and return to our clinic for 6 weeks of postpartum care. We focus on education and prevention of complications through holistic and natural lifestyle and diet choices. We emphasize the importance of mental health and having an empowered experience through the pregnancy, birth, and postpartum journey. Postpartum care includes weekly visits to assess the parent's and the baby's well being and development, including nutrition and growth. We also screen for postpartum complications and refer to higher care as needed. 

This program is for families who have a deep desire for more intimate care, who may have anxiety about engaging in hospital based care, or who long for more time and attention from their chosen maternity care provider. Patients in the first cohort may begin care at any point in their pregnancy. However, future cohorts will be required to begin care in the first trimester to ensure the best possible outcomes. 

The midwifery model of care is a way of attending to the various needs of pregnant people, their developing babies, and their families as a whole. This model is known to reduce complications, and increase patient satisfaction, and everyone who desires it should have the access and opportunity to receive it. Therefore, Moonlit Midwives is committed to removing financial barriers to those who desire this experience. Spots in each cohort are limited due to realistic considerations that ensure the quality of care received remains high. Once the sliding scale spots are full, others will be able to sign up to receive care at the regular price. 

This program is based on a Sliding Scale ranging from $88-$262 per month for 10 months when care is established in the first trimester. 

Patients in our Early Access Care Program who desire to deliver with us, in our downtown Salt Lake City birth center, can do so for an additional fee based on our sliding scale. In addition to receiving quality prenatal care, these families are able to experience a comfortable home like suite which includes the birth room, a living room, our extended stay room, kitchenette and private bathroom. The space is yours to use how you need while you are with us. Invite guests to witness your special moment if you like! 

 $3,600-$5,500 Your fee for prenatal and postpartum care will be applied toward this amount.
