The Butterfly Effect is a YA/Adult series. It contains instances of strong language and troubling themes such as death, abuse, and self-harm. To paraphrase how I once described it, theirs isn't a world where everyone has a caring family, or loves who they are, aren't or judged because of things they can't change. Bad things do happen and not everyone recovers from them. But I try to make sure there's a light at the end--something positive to look forward to at the end of all the trials.
