I am an Associate Professor in the Department of International Studies at the Graduate School of International Studies, Ewha Womans University.
My research focuses on international economics, with particular emphasis on international trade patterns, firm behavior, and the role of trade in shaping productivity and institutional change. I also study how global financial conditions and shocks interact with trade linkages to affect economic outcomes.
Previously, I was a Senior Economist at the Bank of Korea. I have also worked at the World Bank and taught at the University of Virginia, Korea University, and Ewha Womans University. I received my Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Virginia.
