My name is [Your Name], and I am a licensed mental health therapist specializing in trauma-informed care, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and mindfulness-based approaches. I work with adolescents, adults, families, and trauma survivors — people at all stages of life who are ready to take one brave step toward something better.
I came to this work because I understand what it feels like to search for hope when it seems out of reach. That understanding shapes every session I hold, every tool I offer, and every space I create for the people I serve.
How I'll Help You
You already have more strength than you know.
My role is not to fix you — because you are not broken. My role is to walk alongside you as you uncover the resilience, insight, and capacity for change that already live within you.
Using evidence-based methods, I help you recognize the patterns of thought that keep you stuck — and gently challenge them with compassion and curiosity, not judgment. Through mindfulness practices, I help you come home to the present moment, where real healing becomes possible. When trauma is part of your story, I move at your pace. Trauma-informed care means I will never push you into territory you aren't ready for. Safety comes first — always. We build trust before we build anything else.
For families and teens, I offer a space where every voice is heard. I believe that when families heal together, individuals heal more deeply — and that young people deserve a therapist who speaks to them honestly and respectfully, not down to them.
I am licensed to practice clinical social work in Minnesota (#16592), North Dakota (#5798), and Texas (#60361 - supervisor designation). I practice via telehealth only. I have been using video sessions since 2014. I have an online "play room" and also vitual therapy rooms that mimic the in person experience and are live 24/7.
I am a brainspotting practitioner. This is a processing intervention that works with your brain and body together. I have seen this specific intervention work well at opening doors for great personal and professional growth in the people I work with and continue to learn more about the neurobiological aspects of wellness.
I am a clinical supervisor for those seeking to take the clinical exam in social work. My philosophy of supervision is one where reflective practices drive the learning process while grounded in evidence within our field. I work with supervisees to not only look at their practice but strive to be the best clinical social worker they can. This often includes reviewing theoretical basis for interventions, case studies, and a development of a the supervisees practice philosophy with an emphasis in cultural competence.
