The Career that I have decided to pursue is Aerospace engineering. The reason I chose to follow this path is because some of my family members were engineers and it has always been a dream for me to be very successful and do something big/important . I was very young when I knew I wanted to do this. I had always been interested in how spaceships, planes, and other things long with how they work for example. How the engine was built, how did they make the first jet, its things like this that I've always wondered. To get to this dream i have taken classes outside of school to learn about how things are made and how to fix, and build things like robots and space craft. I have also taken a program called Atex which has helped me learn more about engineering and design of builds, cars, machines, plains and anything I can put my skills to use.
All of this work has helped me with math reading and writing as well as given me hands-on experience to know at least a little bit more than I did before. Like I said before I have taken classes outside of school but the thing that has also helped a lot is my job in retail. Now you're probably thinking “how in the world does that help you with engineering.” Because of the amount of problems that go on in retail and the fact that I do manage people has taught me to think on the fly and get things done fast and right. When I graduate I want to go to community college first so I can get some of my credits done then I want to go to Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and get my PHD in aerospace engineering. This is because It is one of the top schools for the education I want and need for my “dream job". After I have achieved my goal I plan to go work for N.A.S.A or maybe on a base and try to invent something new or reach a goal for the world that was thought to be unreachable. I want to make a change and I know I will do it no matter what I’m confident in that. I will make a positive and strong impact.
