Years ago, when I moved to Oneida, New York my new next door neighbor stopped by to introduce himself. As part of our conversation he mentioned he worked with stained glass and also taught small classes. He asked if I was interested. Not wanting to seem impolite, I replied that if anyone ever dropped out at the last minute to give me a call. Well, wouldn't you know I get a call and soon find myself in one of his classes, glass cutter in hand fashioning practical, usable and beautiful items. Needless to say, from that moment on, I look at and think about glass very differently.
Yes, like anyone else, I like beautiful things. But I like it even more when these items can be used day in and day out while bringing to a room a unique luminescence.
