Moon Message does not collect your data. There is no account, no login, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking. The app has no network features at all — it works entirely offline. Nothing you do in the app is sent to us or to anyone else.
Nothing. We do not collect, receive, store, or transmit any personal data from the app.
We have no servers. The app makes no network requests. Even the moon phase is calculated mathematically on your device from the date, rather than being fetched from the internet.
Some information is stored locally on your iPhone so the app can work. It never leaves your device and we cannot see it:
Your saved readings — the cards you chose to save, with their date and text.
Today's drawn card — so the app shows you the same card if you reopen it during the day.
Your settings — such as your chosen deck language and notification preferences.
Your birth date, only if you choose to enter it — used solely to calculate the moon phase on the day you were born, on your device. Entering it is entirely optional and the app works fully without it. It is never transmitted anywhere.
All of this is deleted when you delete the app.
Purchases are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see or receive your name, payment card, address, or Apple Account details.
The app asks Apple whether your device holds a valid purchase, and Apple answers yes or no. That exchange is between your device and Apple. We receive only anonymous, aggregated sales reports from Apple, which do not identify individual customers.
If you enable reminders, they are scheduled locally on your device by iOS. We do not send push notifications and have no ability to do so. You can turn them off at any time in iOS Settings or in the app.
Moon Message is intended for a general audience aged 4 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone, of any age, because we do not collect data at all.
The app contains no third-party software, no advertising networks, no analytics providers, and no social media integrations. No data is shared with anyone, because none is collected.
Data protection laws such as the GDPR give you rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. We hold no personal data about you, so there is nothing for us to retrieve or delete on your behalf.
The information stored on your device is under your control at all times. You can delete all of it by deleting the app.
If this policy changes, the current version will always be published at this address, with an updated effective date. If the app ever begins collecting data, this policy will be updated and you will be told in the app before it takes effect.
