1. Introduction Welcome to MoodMitra. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our mobile application. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring that your personal journaling data remains completely private.
2. No Personal Data Collection MoodMitra is a 100% offline application. We do not collect, transmit, or store any of your personal data, mood entries, or notes on external servers or cloud storage. We do not require you to create an account or log in to use the app.
3. Local Data Storage All data you enter into MoodMitra (including mood emojis, dates, and text notes) is stored locally on your device using an internal database (Android Room Database). This data is accessible only by you and remains on your device until you decide to delete it or uninstall the app.
4. App Permissions MoodMitra is designed to function with minimal permissions. We do not request access to your contacts, location, camera, or microphone. The app functions entirely without an internet connection.
5. Data Security Since your data is stored locally on your device, its security depends on your device's security settings (e.g., screen lock, PIN, or biometrics). We recommend keeping your device secure to prevent unauthorized access to your journal entries.
6. User Control & Data Deletion You have full control over your data.
Edit/Delete: You can edit or delete individual mood entries directly within the app's history screen.
Full Deletion: Uninstalling the MoodMitra application will permanently delete all data and journal entries associated with the app from your device. We cannot recover this data once uninstalled.
7. Third-Party Libraries We use standard Android libraries (such as Jetpack components and MPAndroidChart) to build the app's user interface and features. These libraries function locally and do not track your personal journal content.
8. Children’s Privacy MoodMitra does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under the age of 13. Since the app is offline and requires no login, there is no mechanism for us to collect such data.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
