Moodle and our third-party providers may automatically collect certain technical/app data, such as app install/open events, in-app events, device/app identifiers, IP address, and device/app version information.
We use:
Google Firebase Analytics (usage analytics)
Meta/Facebook SDK (ad campaign attribution and measurement)
These services may receive event and device/app data to help us understand app usage and measure ad campaign performance. Depending on your device settings and permissions, this may include advertising identifiers.
Moodle uses Google Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used and to improve functionality and user experience. We recommend reviewing Google Firebase’s Privacy Policy to learn more about how Firebase handles analytics data.
We use this data to:
Measure app installs and campaign effectiveness
Understand feature usage and improve performance/stability
Guide product development
Anonymous analytics data is retained according to Google Firebase’s standard data retention policies. Moodle does not maintain its own user-identifiable data storage.
On iOS, where required, we request permission via App Tracking Transparency before accessing tracking-related identifiers. You can change tracking permission at any time in iOS Settings.

While Moodle does not store personal data, we rely on Google Firebase’s security measures to protect analytics data, including encryption in transit and at rest.
We do not knowingly share personal data about children under 13. If we learn such data was collected, we will take steps to delete it and disable related processing.
