Thank you for using Moodle! This Privacy Policy explains how Moodle collects, uses, and safeguards information in relation to our iOS app. By using Moodle, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.
Moodle does not directly collect personal data or sensitive information from users. However, we use third-party services, specifically Google Firebase, to enable certain features of the app. Firebase may collect and store information as outlined below.
Moodle uses Google Firebase for user authentication and data storage. Firebase may collect certain information as per its own privacy policy. We recommend reviewing Google Firebase’s Privacy Policy to understand their practices regarding user data collection and usage.
Firebase services we use include:
Firebase Authentication: Used to allow users to create and access their accounts securely.
Firestore Database: Stores the locations where users have checked in, along with their ratings and notes on restaurants and bars.
We do not share your information with other third parties outside of Firebase.
Data stored in the Firestore database, such as users’ saved locations and ratings, is used solely to enhance the Moodle experience by allowing users to view and manage past visits to restaurants and bars. This data helps users keep track of their favorite dining spots and experiences.
Information stored in the Firestore database is retained indefinitely to allow users to maintain a history of their visits and ratings. Authentication data managed by Firebase is retained as long as the user keeps an active account with Moodle.
Currently, Moodle does not support automatic data deletion requests from within the app. If you would like your data deleted, please contact us at the email provided below.
Moodle uses Google Firebase services to secure user authentication and data storage. Firebase provides built-in security features, including data encryption in transit and at rest. We are committed to taking reasonable measures to protect user data and ensure its confidentiality.
Moodle is available to users of all ages, and no special parental controls are implemented. The app does not knowingly collect or store data specifically intended to target users under the age of 13.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Users will be notified of any changes by an updated Privacy Policy being posted in the app or via email. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
