2026 Rental Rates & Fee Schedule
Bylaw #794 – Schedule “A”
The following rental rates apply to the Montrose Community Hall for 2026. All bookings are subject to availability, applicable policies, and approval by the Village of Montrose.
Hall Rental Rates
Weddings & Special Events
Wedding Package (Main Hall + Full Kitchen + Bar + Audio/Video + Setup/Cleanup Time)
$400.00 rental + $400.00 deposit
Main Hall Rentals
Full Day (includes full kitchen) – $225.00 + $225.00 deposit
Half Day (4 hours, includes full kitchen) – $150.00 + $150.00 deposit
Youth Birthday Party (4 hours, includes kitchen) – $75.00 + $75.00 deposit
Adult Non-Profit Event (no dance/party, includes kitchen) – $125.00 + $125.00 deposit
Youth Non-Profit Event (parent supervised, includes kitchen) – $75.00 + $75.00 deposit
Lower (Basement) Hall Rentals
Full Day – $125.00 + $125.00 deposit
Half Day (4 hours) – $75.00 + $75.00 deposit
Youth Birthday Party (4 hours) – $50.00 + $50.00 deposit
Adult Non-Profit Event – $75.00 + $75.00 deposit
Youth Non-Profit Event – $50.00 + $50.00 deposit
Kitchen Use Only
2 Hours – $50.00 + $50.00 deposit
Full Day – $125.00 + $125.00 deposit
Commercial & Special Events
Any event where admission is charged, tickets are sold, vendors are present, fundraising fees are collected, or any revenue is generated:
Main Hall (Full Day) – $450.00 + $450.00 deposit (2x standard rate applies)
Lower Hall (Full Day) – $250.00 + $250.00 deposit
Additional Equipment & Services
Audio/Video Equipment (if not included) – $35.00
Bar Facility (if not included) – $40.00
Decorating Access (after 5:00 PM, if not included) – $75.00
Decorating Access (full day, if not included) – Standard rental rate
Cancellation Policy
All cancellations must be submitted in writing to the Village of Montrose.
14 or more days before rental date: 50% refund of rental fee
7 to 14 days before rental date: 25% refund of rental fee
Less than 7 days before rental date: No refund issued
Deposits may be applied toward cancellation charges as outlined above.
Important Notes
All rentals are subject to approval by the Village of Montrose
Damages or additional cleaning costs may be deducted from deposits
Rates and policies are subject to change by bylaw amendment
Rules & Rental Conditions
The following rules are in place to ensure the safe, respectful, and proper use of the Montrose Community Hall. All renters are responsible for ensuring that guests comply with these conditions.
General Use
The renter is responsible for the hall, its contents, and all guests during the rental period.
The hall must only be used for the purpose stated on the rental agreement.
Maximum occupancy limits must be strictly observed at all times.
Care of the Facility
The hall must be left in a clean and tidy condition.
Tables and chairs must be cleaned and returned to their original location unless otherwise directed.
Floors must be swept and spills cleaned immediately.
All garbage must be collected and placed in designated bins or removed from the premises if required.
Set-Up and Tear-Down
Rental time includes setup and cleanup unless otherwise stated in the booking.
Early access or extended cleanup time must be approved in advance.
Decorations must not damage walls, ceilings, floors, or fixtures. Nails, staples, and permanent adhesives are not permitted.
Kitchen Use
The kitchen must be left clean after use, including all appliances, counters, and sinks.
All dishes, utensils, and equipment used must be washed and returned to their proper place.
Food must not be left in refrigerators or storage areas unless approved.
Alcohol Use
Alcohol is only permitted where approved in advance by the Village of Montrose.
The renter is responsible for ensuring all required liquor licensing regulations are followed.
Alcohol may not be sold without proper licensing and written approval.
Noise & Conduct
All events must comply with local noise regulations and respect neighbouring properties.
Disorderly conduct, illegal activity, or behaviour causing damage or disruption will not be tolerated.
Smoking, Vaping, and Pets
The Montrose Community Hall is a smoke-free and vape-free facility.
Smoking and vaping are not permitted inside the building or within posted restricted areas.
No pets are permitted inside the facility, with the exception of certified service animals as defined by applicable law.
Damage & Liability
The renter is responsible for any damage to the facility or equipment during their rental period.
Repair or replacement costs may be deducted from the security deposit.
Additional charges may apply if damages exceed the deposit amount.
Enforcement
Failure to comply with these rules may result in:
Loss of deposit
Additional cleaning or repair charges
Restrictions on future rentals
Agreement
By renting the Montrose Community Hall, the renter agrees to comply with all rules, policies, and conditions established by the Village of Montrose.
