Timeframes

Paintings take approximately 2-3 weeks to complete from whenever I start, which is based on availability. I can usually manage 2 commissions per month.

Frames takes approximately 2 weeks to arrive (I order frames when I start the picture so they are delivered while I'm painting), and 1 week to customise.

Prices & Payment

The final price all depends on complexity of the scene and any travel time to visit the location etc. I'll always agree a price before starting.

• 12x9" canvas: £50-75

• 14x11" canvas: £75-100

• 16x12" canvas: £100-150

• Framing is an addition £25-50 depending on size

Completed paintings will be posted free of charge, safely packed so they arrive in perfect condition, or hand delivered if you're local to me.

I use Square to take payments. You can pay online with a credit or debit card. I'll never see your card details and it's totally safe.

I always ask for half of the money up front - this secures your slot in my calendar and allows me to purchase frames in advance.

The process

I'll start by discussing the scene you'd like painted, confirming any special requests, agree on a price and take payment of 50%.

Then I'll visit the site to take my own reference photographs if that's practical and it's within a reasonable distance to me (I'm in Salford). If not I'll have to rely on your own photography.

Next I'll share with you some preliminary sketches for you to review and approve - it's much easier to make changes at this stage!

Near the end of the painting I'll share progress pictures so again you can request any small alterations. I'll do my best to accommodate but if significant extra work is required I may charge extra for it.

Finally I'll varnish the painting to enrich the colours and protect it, fix it into the frame, take the final 50% payment and deliver it to you.
