Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Monto ("Monto", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the Monto mobile application, website, courses, and related learning services (collectively, the "Service").

By using Monto, you acknowledge the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Information we collect

Account information: name, username, email address, phone number, profile image, and encrypted or securely processed authentication information.
Learning and transaction records: course access, purchases or redemption codes, progress, quiz activity, certificates, referrals, and account status.
Device and technical information: device identifier, device model or label, platform, app version, IP-derived network information, diagnostic data, and login or activity timestamps.
Notifications: Firebase Cloud Messaging registration token, notification preferences, delivery status, and interactions with notifications.
Support communications: information you include when contacting support or requesting account assistance.
Uploaded content: profile images or other files you intentionally submit through the Service.

2. How we use information

We use information to create and secure accounts, provide learning content, manage course access, remember progress, process redemption or purchase records, deliver service and custom-user notifications, prevent fraud and account misuse, provide support, troubleshoot problems, improve performance, and comply with applicable legal obligations.

3. Permissions and notifications

Monto may request notification permission to deliver course updates, live-class reminders, access alerts, and messages selected by an administrator. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings. The Android app may also use internet and network access to load content and synchronize your account.

4. Service providers

We use trusted providers to operate the Service. These may include Supabase for database and authentication infrastructure, Google Firebase for Android services and push notifications, Cloudinary for media storage and delivery, Vercel for website and API hosting, and email infrastructure for verification and support messages. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies and only as necessary to provide their services to us.

5. Sharing of information

We do not sell or rent personal information. We may share limited information with service providers described above, when required by law or a valid legal request, to protect users and the Service, or as part of a business transfer where appropriate safeguards apply.

6. Data security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, including authenticated access, encrypted network connections, restricted server credentials, and access controls. No online system can guarantee absolute security, so users should keep passwords and verification codes confidential.

7. Data retention

We retain account and learning information while your account is active and for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, maintain transaction and security records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Data that is no longer required may be deleted or anonymized.

8. Your choices and rights

You may review or update available profile information in the app. You may request access, correction, or deletion of your personal information by emailing us from the address associated with your account. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. Certain records may be retained where required for security, fraud prevention, transactions, or law.

9. Account deletion

To request deletion of your Monto account and associated personal data, email support.monto@gmail.com with the subject "Monto Account Deletion Request" and include your registered username or email. We will verify and process eligible requests within a reasonable period.

10. Children's privacy

Monto is an educational service and may be used by students. If local law requires parental or guardian consent for a minor, the parent or guardian is responsible for providing that consent. A parent or guardian who believes a child submitted personal information without appropriate authorization may contact us to request review or deletion.

11. External links

The Service may link to external websites, videos, meeting services, or learning resources. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of third-party services.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes to the Service, providers, or legal requirements. We will update the date above and may provide an in-app notice when changes are material.
