The following are some major activities and events that Interact participates in as well as information related to each of them.

Submission of Hours Policy:

1. On the day you volunteer, you must sign in to the online form provided by a Board Member or Grade Representative.

2. We ask that the members who volunteer at the SAVE Animal Shelter and Rock Brook School to email us a picture of the sign in book every time they volunteer IN ADDITION to signing in at these places. This ensures that you receive your points.

Man of the Year - Mandatory Event Participation from Members

Montgomery High School

Performing Arts Center

Held annually sometime between March and April, Man of the Year is Interact's biggest fundraiser of the year! Come see Montgomery High School's finest men strut their stuff in this entertaining male beauty pageant. There is an opening number, swimwear portion, talent portion, question & answer session, and a rose ceremony. Refreshments are available to buy during intermission. Run With Rotary - Mandatory Event Participation from Members

Held rain or shine on a Sunday in late April, Run With Rotary is a 5K run held by the Rocky Hill Rotary Club. A one mile family friendly ramble also takes place before the 5K run. All proceeds from this fundraiser go to scholarships for MHS students. Come volunteer at the registration table or participate in this event!

Rock Brook School

Once a month, on a Saturday evening from 5:30 - 9:30 PM, Interact members volunteer the Rock Brook School to spend time with children with special needs so that their parents can have a night off. Interact also helps out at Rock Brook after-school on weekdays from 2:30- 5:30 PM. To volunteer, sign up at an Interact meeting and make sure to sign in and out at the school's front desk at the events you attend. Check that you have a ride from MHS to Rock Brook and back home during .

Crop Walk

Crop Walk is an annual walk to help stop hunger and poverty worldwide. It is held on a Sunday in late October and is a family friendly event. Peanut butter is collected at the walk, so make sure to bring a few jars!

You can earn points for Interact by volunteering at the SAVE animal shelter! If you have not volunteered at SAVE before but want to start, you will need to fill out an application form (available at their volunteer page), sign up, and attend one of their orientations. To receive Interact points for your volunteer hours at SAVE, you must do the following:

1. Sign in and out on the Interact sheet located in the front of the "Community Service Binder" in the office - you must ask the receptionist for that specific binder to sign in and out on the Interact sheet.

2. Email Interact with the date and time in/out, EACH time you go (we will cross-check this with the sign-in sheet!)

Drives

Interact often holds drives throughout the school year that contribute food to the Montgomery Food Pantry, school supplies to underprivileged areas in Trenton, toys and games for the Bristol Myers Squibb Children's Hospital, clothing for the Ronald McDonald House, etc.
