For foreign visitors.

I have noticed that a third of the visitors to this site are from the U.S. However, since this site is written in Japanese, the content is useless to most of them, although it may be of real help. Visitors who don't read Japanese may find the following information helpful in understanding the content.

Unfortunately, Google Sites, on which this site is based, does not allow translation by setting the URL in Google Translate. Also, DeepL does not properly translate the PDF files written in Japanese. So, copy the text of the page or PDF file and paste them on Google Translate or DeepL to read the contents in English.

Although the page and line numbers refer to the translated book (the Japanese edition), all the numbers for figures, equations and chapters are the same as in the original book.
