One year after our first Town Hall on Policing & the Budget, Montclair Beyond Policing organized a follow-up public forum to discuss the nature of policing in our town, demand more budget transparency from the Mayor & Town Council, and share information among community members about areas of unmet need in our town.
Hosted by BLM Morristown and the Drew Roosevelt Network, Forum Series II gave space for numerous activists and abolitionists to share about organization in communities and what options exists outside of the PIC. Montclair Beyond Policing shared our experiences and discussed how best to build alternatives that will keep us safe.
