I'm MontaRae, a Queer Blerd, visual artist, cartoonist, zinester, and writer based in the GTA. I navigate themes of how identities that don’t conform to societal expectations experience ostracization and annihilation, with a focus on Black and trans identities, using speculative comics, zines, personal essays, and poetry. 

My artwork is featured in Black Fruit Press’s 2024 Anthology, The Goblin Markets, and I was a 2024 Digizine resident. Recently, I've gained even more of an interest in fibre arts, and when I'm not sewing or crocheting, I'm working on comics. (Sprint! is coming soon!)
