App: Creepy Verity Friend Talker (iOS)

Creepy Verity Friend Talker (“the App”) is a fictional horror entertainment chat experience for iOS. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the App.
By using Creepy Verity Friend Talker, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
Creepy Verity Friend Talker is fiction and entertainment only. It is not medical, legal, or professional advice. Do not send passwords, financial details, personal identification numbers, or other sensitive information in chat or voice messages.
We do not:
Require you to create an account or sign in
Run our own user database or backend servers for chat
Use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs in the App
Sell your personal information
The App stores some data locally on your iPhone using Apple’s on-device storage (for example UserDefaults and App Group storage shared with the Creepy Verity Friend Talker widget). This may include:
Data
Purpose
Display name you enter during onboarding
Personalize chat
Onboarding and consent choices
Remember that you completed setup and accepted AI processing
Free message count
Enforce the free message limit before subscription
Notification preference
Remember whether you enabled optional reminders
Widget mood and short status line
Show character state on the Home Screen widget
This information stays on your device unless you delete the App or reset your device. We do not receive it on our servers.
Chat messages are kept in memory while you use the App. They are not saved permanently on your device by the App after you close it (unless iOS keeps the app in memory briefly in the background).
To generate replies, the App sends data from your device directly to Google’s Generative Language API (Gemini). This may include:
Your current message and recent chat history (up to the last 16 messages in the session)
Your display name, if you provided one
Context used to shape replies (such as character mood)
Google processes this data under its own terms and privacy policy:
Do not share information you would not want processed by a third-party AI service.
The App uses an API key configured by the developer to contact Google. Messages are transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS).
If you use voice input, the App uses Apple’s on-device Speech framework and the microphone to convert speech to text. Apple may process audio according to its policies and your device settings. The resulting text is then sent to Google Gemini as described above.
You can control microphone and speech recognition permissions in Settings → Creepy Verity Friend Talker.
Subscriptions are handled entirely by Apple In-App Purchase / StoreKit. We do not receive or store your payment card details. Apple provides us only subscription status information needed to unlock paid features (such as whether you have an active subscription).
Apple’s privacy information applies to payment processing:
Subscription management and cancellation: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your device.
5.4 In-app purchases
Linger offers optional in-app purchases through Apple’s App Store:
• Subscriptions (weekly, monthly, yearly) — unlock premium features such as unlimited messages, voice, calls, widget updates, and reminders.
• Remove Ads — a one-time, non-consumable purchase that permanently removes full-screen interstitial ads shown tap talk to me before start chat.
All purchases are processed by Apple. We do not receive or store your payment card number, billing address, or other payment details. Apple may collect and process purchase-related information according to Apple’s Privacy Policy: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/
Important:
• Remove Ads only removes interstitial ads as described above. It does not include a subscription or unlimited messages.
• Rewarded ads on the paywall (optional, for extra free messages) may still appear for users who have not subscribed.
• Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled in your Apple ID account settings.
Purchase information: When you buy a subscription or Remove Ads, the transaction is handled by Apple. We receive confirmation of your purchase status (for example, whether a subscription or Remove Ads is active) so we can unlock the correct features in the app. We do not receive your payment card details.
If you opt in, the App schedules local notifications on your device (for example fictional reminder lines). These are not push notifications from our servers. You can turn them off in the App or in Settings → Notifications → Creepy Verity Friend Talker.
The Home Screen widget reads mood and status text from shared on-device storage (App Group) so it can display the character state. This data is not sent to our servers.
“Incoming call” and similar call UI in the App are simulated for entertainment. The App does not place real phone calls or access your phone number for calling.
Creepy Verity Friend Talker is intended for users who can understand fictional horror content. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, contact us at abderrahmaneghal@icloud.com and we will take appropriate steps.
On your device: Local preferences and widget data remain until you delete the App or erase device data.
In session memory: Chat content is cleared when the App is no longer running in memory.
Google: Retention of data sent to Gemini is governed by Google’s policies, not by us.
We use industry-standard transport security (HTTPS) when the App communicates with Google’s API. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information. Because we do not operate a central account system, most data is controlled on your device:
Delete local data: Remove the App from your device
Stop AI processing: Do not use chat or voice features; or delete the App
Microphone / speech: Revoke in iOS Settings
Notifications: Disable in the App or iOS Settings
Subscriptions: Manage in Apple’s subscription settings

If you are in the EU/UK, you may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Linger may show optional ads through Google AdMob. Ads are only shown on the paywall — not in the main chat.
Types of ads in Linger:
1. Rewarded ads (optional)
If you are not subscribed and have reached the free message limit, you may choose to watch a short rewarded video on the paywall to receive three additional free messages. This is optional.
2. Interstitial ads
If you are not subscribed and have not purchased Remove Ads, you may see a full-screen interstitial ad when you tap (“Talk to me”) button befor chat or after simulated calls too..
Who does not see these ads:
• Subscribers — paywall ads for unlocking subscription are not shown.
• Users who purchased Remove Ads — interstitial ads described above are not shown.
When an ad is shown, Google AdMob may collect and use information such as:
• Device identifiers (for example IDFA if you allow App Tracking on iOS)
• IP address
• Ad interaction data (for example impressions and completions)
• Device type, OS version, and general location derived from IP
This data is used to deliver ads, measure ad performance, and prevent fraud. Google may combine it with information from other apps and sites according to Google’s policies.
Google’s policies:
Google Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
AdMob & ads: https://support.google.com/admob/answer/6128543
On iOS, we may ask for permission to track across apps and websites (App Tracking Transparency) before loading personalized ads. You can decline and still use the app; ad availability may vary.
Rewarded ad limits in Linger:
• Up to three rewarded videos total per install
• No more than one rewarded video per calendar day
• Each completed video grants three additional free messages
We do not receive your payment information from Google AdMob. Subscription and Remove Ads payments are handled by Apple separately.
If you use the App outside your home country, data sent to Google or Apple may be processed in countries where those companies operate, including the United States.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and change the effective date above. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
